Roberto E. Quijano is an Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Hector J. Lopez, PLLC and is dedicated to helping clients with their complex immigration problems. Roberto offers our clients a substantive amount of experience ligating immigration cases before both, detained and non-detained court, USCIS, and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
Roberto obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Houston and a Juris Doctorate degree from Thurgood Marshal School of Law. During his undergraduate and law school studies, Roberto volunteered in several immigration community forums. He also participated in several Mock Trial and Moot Court competitions and was a Senior Editor for the Thurgood Marshall Law Review.
As a law school student, Roberto began his career in Immigration Law working as law clerk for a retired immigration judge, where he began his practice as an Immigration Attorney after passing the Texas bar. Soon thereafter, Roberto worked in one of the largest immigration law firms in Houston, which required him to defend Immigrant’s rights on a daily basis in front of several judges, not only in Houston but across the United States.
Roberto does not only have ample experience fighting for his client’s immigration rights, but as a Salvadoran immigrant married to a Venezuelan immigrant, he knows firsthand how hard it can be to move to a new country, learn a new language, and fight for a better future. This, coupled with his experience in immigration defense, guarantees our client a committed and driven advocate for their rights.
